lcd turns into bogus

strange problem:

before the problem:
had some max crashes. one time my whole file was corrupted
after a crash and one time one of my subpatches was
completely empty :(. had been backingup a bit so kept on
developing. Updated to both ableton to 8.2.6 and max to 5.1.9.

the problem itself:
sometime when I open the patch, my lcd object is turned into a bogus :S.
it’s orange and has big letters which sais: (lcd). going to inspector sais:
jbogus. Sometime it’s only in the device closed, some time it’s in edit mode in max itself too. problem seems to disappear randomly. making a new device with also an lcd does not reproduce the problem.

did anyone had simular problems and now what is going on? I’m scared of my device being corrupted or something which is bad. much much hours of work….
backup every 10 minutes now :S

any idea’s?

first check that you haven’t got any patch named lcd.maxpat

It might not be a maxpat file, any file called “lcd” in the search path will cause problems like this.

Ah of course. thats it indeed ! :)

Have a file called lcd.maxpat on accident.
