Hi gang, I'm sure I'm missing something obvious here, but I can't seem to crack an issue I have with line.

I have a path that goes [bang]--[-70]--($1 2000)--[line] which then goes to a live.gain object controlling volume. I need line to ramp over 2 seconds down to -70 from wherever the live.gain control is at the point (which fluctuates a lot). Currently it just goes straight to -70 without a timed ramp, like I sent the message without a time specification. Weirdly, it seems to work fine the first time I hit the bang, and then goes straight to -70 every other time.

The line object goes to -70 the first time, but then it stays there. You need to do a bit of 'state monitoring' and resetting, to get the behaviour you want:

this will break, if you try to interrupt the ramp within the 2 second window
