My problem is that I have a max patch which sets some dynamic limits on some parameters which are then made available in live automation.

Those limits change on a per invocation of the patch basis.

In order to let live have the full range of automation I have to set the upper limits of the attributes of a pattr object.

But then the granularity of the editing of the data in live is too great.

I want a way to edit all integer values without gaps.

In practice will play with the parameters in the patch and when I like what I hear I will try to write automation data into live to mimic this.
