live.grid step constraint matrix mode bug

March 27, 2014 | 2:48 pm

Hi
I am looking for a visual control for [preset], which object is not visible in MIRA; and was thinking of using [live.grid]. From what I see if "step constraint" and "matrix mode" are on, simple "setcell" command will not have effect on the object. Can someone please confirm this?
thank you

Could you post an example? If I send "setcell 2 3 1/0" that enable/disable the points at coordinate {2 3}.

Thank you for looking into it

It works for me, you just don’t see anything because you change the cells but you display the constrains cell. Am I missing something?

No you are right. I didn’t realize "step edit" and "step contraint" were two views of the same object, I thought about it more like [radiogroup], that has two distinct behaviour modes. So now I see I can either go with "setcontraint" or "setcell" messages on the right view. I’ll figure out which one makes more sense in this case.
Thank you!
