When using live.remote with a live.dial I can record automation in ableton live. However, when using a max slider object such as pictslider or dial with live.remote, i cannot record automation. Live states that the "parameter is disabled".

A possible workaround is to put one or more (invisible) live.numbox in front of the max object.

the help files say you can rename the "Short Name" of an attribute, using pattr and pattrstorage, here -

However, when I try this it doesnt work. I cannot get the "Short Name" or "Long Name" to change when it reinitialises.

Im also confused because the article refers to a "Auto-update Parameter Initial Value" attribute in pattr however, this doesnt seem to exist in my m4l.

Would be grateful if anyone knows about this to chime in?
