hello,

I´m totally new with m4l, I would like to know how could I access the “zoom screen” option, which is in -prefs-look & feel, in ableton live.

I work with my laptop on stage, and I could be really great to be able to resize the screen as I go far away from it, using midi or whatever.

any ideas??

thanks a lot!!

Its not possible. The API features that are currently there are features that were only possible to control with MIDI controllers.

wau!!

so I don´t really get the point about m4l. why to work so hard in a patch to make some thing that you can do with much less efforts with the ableton live interface or just mapping anything to a midi controller??

pease, let me know what´s the point with m4l, so I´ll be able to take advantage of it!

thanks a lot.

Ableton have not made the zoom function of the UI automatable.

Maybe you could make a feature request to them for it.

Also maybe there’s some kind of way to automate OS UI zooming, via a some kind of MIDI to keyboard shortcut.

hello andrew, yes, in fact I made a patch using the “universal access” zoom options 3 years ago. it works fine, but with less resolution. and I always wonder what is m4l for if it just makes the same things you can do using max and ableton live.

and I always like to try new ways for making the same things!!

here is the patch (for max 4.6!! by the way, I miss it´s old style look):

#P comment 156 114 620 196618 I use max performing over the stage , sometimes I go far away from computer , and control max or ableton live with a wireless device. then then if I need to watch controlled parameters I can map a midi cc or note to make zoom over them automatically as I control them , just assing incoming data to the coordenates in which the controlled parameter is placed in my screen. http://www.davidfernandez.org;
