Live webstreams in jitter

I was wondering if anyone had any advice or recommendations on how to capture live streaming video (such as traffic cams and webcasts) off the internet and into jitter/cyclops. I’m downloading some streamrippers, I was just wondering if anyone has tried something like this before and could help me out or could recommend a good program to grab the streaming video.
Thanks

here is a patch that was built specifically to capture traffic-cams
and other low-framerate webcams:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=204033&package_id=250393&release_id=549980

if you need more fluid video, there’s a new freeware video capture
tool (haven’t really tested it yet): http://www.jingproject.com/
