Hi folks,

My loadbangs don’t bang if they are in a batcher within a bpatcher. I even tried to add an delay on the loadbangs but still they don’t bang. Does someone have a clue how this is posible and how to resolve it?

btw i work on a macbook-pro 10.4.10 with latest maxmsp.

One workaround is to send the loadbang from the parent patcher, e.g.,

[loadbang]
|
[s LoadFinal]

[r LoadFinal] within abstraction

Hi Dan,

Thanx for your reply. I already did this but was hoping I could resolve the problem since I use a lot of bpatchers.

I think I have to live with it and wait for max5.

cheers!!!

If you add a deferlow, does that help? It did with me in some cases of loadbang/loadmess trouble. You might, as a shot in the absolute dark, try to play with order by bringing forward or sending backward certain objects.

Hi Johan,

I just found the problem (and the solution). When I open my patch, the loadmess objects (which get their arguments from the bpatcher where they are located in) receive this info too late for it to send it to the receiving objects. I now delayed the process and it works fine.

Thanx for your suggestions.
