loading multiple .obj files into jitter

Hi,

I am loading 3d sculptures into the jit.gl.model object, and now I want more than one sculpture at the same time to be shown in the jit.window and also each sculpture’s position and rotation should be controlled individually.

The problem is, that when I look at the helpfile, all the jitter objects from jit.gl.model to jit.gl.render to jit.window has the same name, so it seems like I can only load one thing at a time – is that really true, or is there a way around it?

thanks for your help!
ann

ps. you can check my modification of the jit.gl.model help file …

the name of the object file (and all of the other jit.gl.* objects)
refer to the RENDER CONTEXT, meaning the render destination. You can
definitely have more than one .OBJ file loaded. Simply add another
jit.gl.model object, but send position and rotation messages to it
that are different than the others. You may have one model ‘hiding’
behind the others.

As for render contexts/destinations, just make sure that your
jit.window (or pwindow, or matrix) has the same name as all of your
jit.gl objects:

ie: my window is [jit.window vade]

and if I want to make a render context to it, it will be
[jit.gl.render vade]

if I want to load a model file, use [jit.gl.model vade] (you can have
as many of these as you like). Note that they all share the same
context, ‘vade’

I suggest reading over the GL tutorials in the Jitter manual. Good luck!
