logarithmic pfft?

Hi Maxers,

Is it possible to have a pfft-like object that devides the frequencies not linear but logarithmically. It would be great for analyzing notes and harmonics, as one would need finer steps in lower frequencies but really don't need fine steps in higher (noise) frequency bands.

thanks,
Simon

Not possible. Or it's not FFT. (Could be wavelet analysis, but there is no standard object for that.)
But of course, once a FFT is done, you can average bins as you wish for analysis.
