M4L.chooser id output (NVM, I solved it!)

Hi, I solved my own dilemma. I will post my findings in Edit or anyone else that may need this.

Begin original message:
Hi,

Just a quick question and I hope I posted this in the right area (it was either here or the js section, figured this was more appropriate).

I am using the m4l.chooser track -> device and I noticed the output of the device when only selecting the track, will give the list of all the names of the devices on that track (duh). My question, how could I get the id’s instead?

I set it up to select track 1, then it prints every device id I have in that track. I can sort them just fine, but I can’t figure out where in the m4l.chooser.js device I need to modify to get the id’s instead.

Thanks for any help in advance!

EDIT:
I messed with the js code and got somewhere.

//replace with this (and save with new file name (duh))
function menu_output(api) {
for (var i = 0; i < api.menudata.length; i++) {
outlet(0, api.menudata[i].path); //I removed the “append” so no need for a route append after the js object. .path instead of .name for the live.path stuffs
}
}
//original part in the js M4L.chooser.js device
function menu_output(api) {
for (var i = 0; i < api.menudata.length; i++) {
outlet(0, “append”, api.menudata[i].name);
}
}
