One of the limitations of Live that lots of people have mentioned is that its not possible to loop unwarped clips – has anyone heard of or built an m4l device that works around this?

Why is the warping a problem – or: What would be the difference when looping a unwarped clip?

Of course you could observe the playing_position/-status and restart the clip when its over. But then some timing issues and clicks/blobs might occur.
Try it out!

There is a device called "Clip operation" it fires clips and loop them …

if the clip you want to loop is of the same tempo as the song temp you could do what ring said without problem. See also my AutoFollow device as a starting point: http://www.timorozendal.nl/?p=236 It doesn’t loop unwarped clips, but it does start a next clip as soon as any clip is finished (warped or unwarped), it’s really simple to modify it so that it starts the same clip and thus loops
