Mac Pro 8 hearts or not

Lovely bit of mis-translation there (at least I think that’s what it is). I think you mean 8 cores, but I prefer ‘hearts’ and will use this term from now on!

Thanks for this long answer. It’s what I expected. So I will take the 4 CORE and try to pass the work on GPU.

And for my funny mis-translation, you’re right, but the I think the error was from english to french. In france, we say "coeur" instead of "core", "coeur" means "heart"… and a good translation for "core" will be "noyau", but we don’t use it.

Nice word, nice expression for you now !

8 cores -> 8 coeurs -> 8 hearts …

Anyway, Jitter wont use all 8 at the same time, unless you make
separate runtimes, or app. Or just duplicate your entire max5
application, and then launch them separately. The main idea is to run
your stuff in different threads, which is not happening yet for
Jitter modules, unless you code your own externals to do so.
