In all those discussions and arguments… i always fought for B. Gates and his staff. Not any more?

Now i need your opinion / advice.
Questions i asked the Apple Support were always answered with “Works” “Of course” “Yea you can do that” “that wont be a problem” but i expect them to give those answers.

I have a pretty good setup right now.
AMD Quad 4* 3ghz overclocked to 3.2ghz
4 GB DDR2

What iam doing with my pc?
- i watch FullHD movies on an external screen
- iam patching with Max (not good, but a lot)
- i use Live 8
in average with 1* Kontakt, 5* Massive/Circle, 5* M4L patches, sometimes Renoise or Reason in slave mode.

lets just ignore that Macs are expensive. thats always the first i hear. since i learned to read price tags im well aware of it.

What do i need? MacBook or MacBook Pro?

(i have to say that i like the MacBook much more.. it looks whats the word more robust / sturdy / strong then the macbook pro)

you are right about the mb pro.
the hardware improvement is insane. you buy a pc today and your parts are outdated tommorow.

so i think ill go with a macbook pro, the i7 is an insane processor but the i5 should be good enough for me.
even if the clock speed is a lower compared to my amd quad i got right now.. the i5 gets much better benchmarks

i wont be dissapointed in terms of performance.

I did it vice versa..
bought a very powerful PC and put snow leopard on it.
