Make jit.pwindow object transparent?

February 17, 2006 | 10:11 pm

Hi,
I am trying to create a dock which operates much like the one in Mac OSX. To do this I am using picture files loaded into the jit.qt.movie object displayed in a jit.pwindow. The pictures are changed using invisible buttons that bang through a request to change the button picture. I have set it up so that the mouse cursor position expands or hides the picture but am obviously left with the black background of the jit.pwindow object. Is there any way to make the jit.pwindow object transparent (so the black is not displayed) or am I going about this the wrong way? If anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful.
Many Thanks
Andy

maybe you could play with jit.lcd, which lets you change the
background color of what you draw.

you could also add text this way. I am using jit.lcd to draw over
some movie frames, and it works great for that.
