I’ve got stuck with a such problem.
If i want to use any vst host with it’s full functionality (cubase or ableton live), i can connect Max as rewire slave, making it working as something like synth, but unable to use it for audio signal processing. Otherwise i can connect Live as rewire slave, but it disables all vsts.
Using vsts inside max can be a good idea, but i don’t want to spend time making simple things already done in another software instead of making music.
Any ideas? Did i miss something?
P.s. installing pluggo is not an option when i need fast changes in max patch.
p.p.s. sorry for double posting, please delete the copying message.
not sure what you mean by "fast changes", but i’ve had quite a bit of luck with timing in pluggo and AFAIK, making pluggos solves your issue with a workaround for rewire.
I mean if i make any minor changes to a patch, i have to rebuild a vst file and to reload all software – that takes too much time and diverts from music writing process.
I’m about 6-7 months of using max, so i’m writing very "dirty" code, maybe time will help.
Maybe i should try that. Thanks for advice!
