making matrixctrl always display a value

October 20, 2008 | 1:00 pm

Hi,

Would it be possible to make matrixctrl always display a value in a given row/column? In my current patch, I have a 1 row 4 column matrixctrl object which I want to have displaying one and only one of the four values at all times. How can I do this?

Look in the [matrixctrl] inspector and check the "one non-zero cell per row" box under the "behaviour" tab.

hmmm… maybe i should’ve mentioned, i’m using 4.6
looks like this is an added feature on max 5, and a damn useful one!

This is not a new feature. Select the object an open its inspector,
you’ll find a few boxes to check.

In the inspector for matrixctrl I see no ‘behaviour’ tab and no ‘one non-zero cell per row’ option. Closest I’ve got is ‘one cell per row,’ which does about half of what I’m looking for.

No, it was there since its introduction. Look into the inspector under
constraints…
