Manipulating a sound file with RGB values

Hi, I am brand new to MaxMSP. I was wondering if anyone could guide me on how to manipulate a sound file (possibly through simple filtering) by using the RGB values of video? or has someone made a patch that does something simular to this already?

my thought was to take a famous composition and manipulate it with the RGB values produced from a famous painting.

thanks!

You can probably extract the colours from an image or video using Jitter and then using that data to control a filter in Max? Not sure what filtering operations you have in mind.

If you’re into using colours and sound together check out Percussa’s AudioCubes at http://www.percussa.com/
