Mask a QT video using OpenGL shapes?

November 25, 2011 | 7:26 pm

Hey all,
So what I want to do is capture people walking from overhead, turn that into a circle using centroids (done) and then use the white circles with black background as a mask for a video. I want the video to show wherever the white circles are. This was relatively easy using jit.lumakey, but now that I’ve converted my project to OpenGL I’ve tried using co.lumakey.jxs but can’t quite figure it out.
Any help would be very appreciated.

I tried messing around with textures as well, but can’t figure a way to apply the QT captured texture to the circles correctly. @tex_mode 3 was sort of right, but had weird scaling going on.

Ah I found an old forum post that put me in the right direction. I THINK the problem was my bang timings. This is the hardest part of MAX for me!
