A student and I are doing a laptop duo with Max and SuperCollider. We are
using WingMan game controllers as our performer interface. My student
suggested that we use a video game (invisible to the audience) as our
"score." As we play the game, the signals from the WingMn will send
messages to Max and SuperCollider via OSC.
All the technology works. What we need is the game. We have narrowed it to
Craps and MasterMind. It will take just an hour or so to implement Craps
but MasterMind will take much longer. Matrixcontrol gets us started. I know
how to design the .pct files for backgrounds and multistate buttons and I
know how to put and get. So my question is – has someone already
implemented MasterMind in Max? If so, would you be willing to share? We
would need the actual patch because we want trigger events based on the
outcome at each stage of the game.

It’s a good little programming exercise; my uncle wrote a version for
fun back in the early 80′s IIRC.
