For some time, I have run into a situation where, if I leave my system alone for a few hours and come back to it, MIDI is dead.

I thought it was a problem with my MIDI interface drivers but someone pointed out that Mavericks has some new energy saving mechanisms in it known as App Nap.

Turns out that there's an option in Get Info for specific applications to disable App Nap.

Max itself wasn't closing or minimizing but I'm wondering if this App Nap could be causing problems with MIDI.

I'm going to try disabling AppNap on Max but I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this issue.
