[MAX 5.0.2] hidemenubar and hidetoolbar

2 for the price of one :

It seems like in 5.0.2 (pc) version the ‘;max hidemenubar’ and ‘;max showmenubar’ don’t work anymore. I know it can be done with the ‘thispatcher’ command ‘window flags (no)menu’. Not sure if the ;max message is mac only, but it doesn’t say so in the docs.

A second question I had is if its possible to hide the toolbar (the ‘view->Toolbar’ option’) with a max/thispatcher message.
When I hide it and save the patcher the option isn’t saved with the patcher.

best.

uncheck "Show Toolbar on Open" in the patcher inspector.

Hmmm…for Max 5 what would ";max hidemenubar" do? Would it hide *all* the menus in all the windows? Since ";max" messages are more global to the app it doesn’t really know which window you are referring to. In the Max 4 MDI world it made sense, but in Max 5 I’m not so sure.

In v5.1.8 ";max hidemenubar" still does not appear to do anything, yet this is the recommendation for hiding menus.

Anyone know how to get this to work?

Thank you!
