I have been unable to find the max 5 api and documentation for download other than one website which is half in japanese. Could somebody please tell me where i can get at it? Also, are there earlier versions for max 4.5 etc?

i am totally new to this so any general helpful advice would be much appreciated.

support -> downloads -> max5 -> current win/mac version -> sdk

A similar path will lead you to the older 4.5 sdk
