What do you mean by freeze? You can set the ignoreclick attribute to
any object, or making abstraction which are not editable (unless you
open the original, or you use the new Modify Read-Only feature).

hum sorry,
my explications were bad,
i mean to save cpu, like mute~ but with jitter objects.
i’m looking to stop the patcher like if he wasn’t in the patch..

It’s usually simple, when you don’t send a matrix to a jitter object,
nothing is computed, so it doesn’t cost anything. That said, there’s
exception like jit.qt.movie which have a mechanism to play the movie
continuously, so when you don’t need it, just send the stop message
(and stop sending bangs too).

wow nice !
thanks Emmanuel!

oh by the way i found a solution for my Gswitch bug in max 5..
MAx isn’t bugging, my patch does.
Strangely i never had the problem with Max 4.6

but its simply that a preset object record the Gswitch As value 1
when i assign my key ..whatever…

does that mean MAX 5 goes faster than max 4.6 in term of calculs??
