Tonight, Jan 23, 2008, at 6:00pm at Denver University, Darwin Grosse,
director of engineering for Cycling 74, will be giving a presentation on
Max 5 to the Front Range Electronic Music User’s Group.

The meeting will be held in Room 434 of Sturm Hall on the DU campus.
Sturm Hall is located on the corner of Race and Asbury. Here’s a map to

Also presenting will be Max user Dave Fodel on using Nintento Wiimotes
as MIDI controllers (see them live instead of on YouTube!) and Martin
Walaszek will giving an introduction to Reason 4.

If you’re a Max user in the Denver or Boulder area, you won’t want to
miss this opportunity to get a sneak peek at Max 5 in action. Also,
you’ll get an opportunity to mingle with other electronic music
producers and Max hackers.

The Front Range Electronic Music User Group, or FREMUG, is a new user
group devoted to any and all means of electronic music production used
by Colorado’s Front Range community. From patching environments to
sequencers to homebrew MIDI controllers, we’re interested in it all.
Mostly an excuse to get away from the keyboard and geek out in person,
we’re going out for beers afterwards, so come on down and join us.

I just played with the Juce developer demos, and it seems quite good and full featured… (Plus the demo has some really nice rounded corners! ;-))

The DV tape went through the wash and had to undergo a delicate
recovery. The movie dump is in the presenter’s hands and will be made
available as soon as spare time is found to edit, compress and upload.
