Hi !

I have a few questions, because while moving from Max 5 to Max 6 – which seems great- (on Windows), I found out a few things that are stange, and I am wondering whether it is a bug for me or a global problem. And of course, if there are any workaround:

- when opening the object explorer by double-clicking, or any other float window (like the color chooser), I am then forced to close it by clicking of the close button (x). Would’nt it be more convenient to have it disappear when the user click outside, like it behaved in Max 5? Or at least being an option?

- when installing 3rd-party libraries like FTM or such, the object explorer does not list the externals although they appear in the auto-completion list. Have anyone found a way to put them in?

That would be all for now, execpt a few bugs here and there that will be reported separately!

Re: Explorer going away, check out the ‘Explorer Settings’ in the bottom left-hand corner of the Object Explorer window.

Re: 3rd party libs, this is currently a limitation, and something that we hope to improve down the road.

Thanks for the answers.

For the explorer, I’ve seen the setting to make it disappear after creating an object, but not to make it disappear after I click outside (like if I opened it by accident and want it closed without creating anything). This was a behavior I liked, but it is not a big deal for me, as I am quite fond of the new sidebar!

For the libs objects, I’ll wait then, and use autocompletion!!!
