I have max 6 , Mac Os Mountain Lion
when I doble click a any max file one of my stand alone gets launched and tries to open the files
How can I make my max files to open with max 6

Remove Max Patcher (or everything but Application) from under the header ‘Document Types’.

your trick works, I have few stand alone,
I just rund the Onyx Maintance app to clean app caches / reboot
and now I can doble click max files and they are open with max msp.
