In January, I will be using Max for our introductory programming course in the Digital Humanities at Western University in Canada. Given the timing of the Max 7 release, and the fact that I really won't have time to update all of my teaching materials, I am hoping that Max 7 will be backwards compatible with 6. If not, will it be possible for students to get licenses for Max 6 in January?

We've always made the greatest of efforts to make sure that your files from previous versions of Max will open without issue. Things might look a little different here and there, but Max 7 will be fine with your Max 6 materials.
