I’m quite sure it won’t be an issue, but I just want to check. I plan on purchasing max for live very soon, but I also plan on buying a new laptop in a few months. Will max for live allow me to install on more than one computer? As in will it work since it will he a different computer? Also, can the software be installed on two computers at the same time for backup purposes? Thank you verymuch, couldn’t find an answer to this anywhere.
So, you obviously want to use it on two computers simultaneously.
Might want to check with Ableton support, as they are actually the ones selling it. In that case I’d say there might be a chance you can have it authorized on two computers. I believe Live allows two authorizations, so I could conceive it would be similar.
I know its an old thread but figured I’d respond anyway.
See this link:
You can use Ableton Live (and all authorized devices) on 2 computers simultaneously. As tisatree mentioned; Max for Live is Ableton’s puppy when it comes to licensing, so these licensing terms also apply to Max for Live.
