Hey Im really new to max. Im trying to get it to talk to arduino through maxduino.

I cant figure out how to do this simple command.

I want to turn a button on for a certain time. then it would turn off after that time.

thanks.

so in other words

i think that your question is a little vague, i would suggest taking a look at the writing/work of tom igoe who wrote a book “physical computing” which addresses the arduino in particular and it’s interfacing with max. you can also check out his site

http://www.tigoe.net/pcomp/code/category/category/code/maxmsp

this would help in general as well as getting versed a bit on the proper language to better phrase your questions. good luck

thanks for the link. I guess what i cant figure out how to do in max is this.

I want to turn a switch on for a certain amount of time and then turn it off indefinetly. Metro command turns something off and on at the same rates … I would like to make a timer or counter or something that tells the switch/button how long to be on or off.

thanks
