So I have a pretty massive patch going on right now and it's made of a bunch of patchers banging into each other via inlets/outlets. All of the noteouts are going to Logic Pro 9. A problem I'm having is that everything works just fine... separately. If I start the piece midway through via a later patcher, everything runs smoothly. However, when I try to trigger the later patchers through an earlier patcher, everything goes out of wack. Messages are not sent to Logic according to the metros as they are when I activate it through a later patch. Nothing is really wrong with the coding, since everything works fine separately... but I think it's something having to do with how much info is being sent to Logic. What I don't get is every patcher that starts a patcher stops itself when it triggers the next one, so they're not sending any info to Logic anymore. I will post the patch here... it may be confusing to anyone who hasn't built it, and it's probably way more complex than it needs to be (I'm still learning) and it really needs to be connected to Logic as I have connected it to make it clear. Maybe I can record a video if that would help...but if anyone can provide help without one for now, that would help me a TON.

If it's really a problem with too much being sent to Logic, I suppose I can simply record each patcher, export, and use it as an sfplay...

Hi, I use max in conjunction with logic and works fine, I have made some big messy patchers and have had issues with timing, I have a few suggestions without seeing your patch, you could try turning on scheduler in overdrive in the audio settings in max, that might be a quick fix. I've also had problems just using too many objects creating lag, and needlessly repeating processes so I've found this forum helpful in assisting me reduce the amount of objects/processes and finding a better programming methodology. Look for processes where you've repeated the same thing over and over again, chances are a smarter approach can be found with one object instead of n.

Could you separate (if there may be too much info going into logic) the midi noteouts? ie set noteout 1 to midi channel 1, note out 2 to midi channel 2 etc. Then set the midi channels on the instrument channel strip in logic and go into settings>recording in logic and swtich on "Auto de mix by channel"

I'm not sure I can help why your patchers switch off when you go inside, but I reckon you should be able to switch on all your processes from the top patcher and not worry about going down the rabbit hole to get everything on. Also switching to edit mode, this will disrupt timing if you have a butt tonne of stuff going on, well has when I've tried in the past.

Yeah I wouldn't necessarily have lots of noteout's that aren't addressed properly, seems it could be your main problem, either have just one and make everything go into there, or think about separating by midi channel.
