Max MSP and Digital Performer?

How do I use my Max patches as automatable plugins in Digital Performer? I’m considering getting Pluggo, and I know that there’s a download for Digital Performer that allows it to accept VST’s… How stable is this? Are there other alternatives?

There is no need for vst in dp, pluggo comes with an AU adapter that
will make your pluggo vsts into AU plug-in for dp.

I can’t seem to find the AU adaptor. It’s not mentioned in the reference
manual and there is nothing in the Pluggo folder that looks like an adapter

No, it is installed as a separate application in your applications
folder. Can’t remember what it’s called, something with AU in it! You
need to open it and let it run the scan first.

Yes, I have that and I am familiar with it. It is not mentioned in any of
the Pluggo documents. Does it automatically register/adapt Pluggo plugins
for use as Audio Units?

OK, I got it. There is a Pluggo component. I am not sure how to interface
it with DP but I know where to look for that. Thanks.

dp will automatically register the component if it is installed in
the default folder.

Every time you make a new vst (built in max) in the vst pluggo folder
you need to run the au-scanner to register the vst as au. the rest is
done for you. I am sure this is mentioned somewhere in the
documentation, I remember reading it.
