I’m currently working on an installation with 12 Make Controllers. I use OSC and each MC is connected to a global ethernet switch that is hooked directly on the computer. No other device is on that network. All MCs have a different IP address and a different port. For some reasons, I always have two devices that are not communicating. We tried everything and it’s not hardware-related. Swapping MCs doesn’t work, swapping IP addresses is not better and we also tried another switch with no luck. Anybody has a clue about what I could do to fix that problem?
update: it seems there’s no maximum number of Make Controllers. But for some strange reasons, two of the MC didn’t like to be on the same network. I hooked one of them directly on the second ethernet port on the Mac Pro and everything’s working now. Still I’d like to know why these two Make Controller don’t like to be on the same network…
