Having to open and close the max window before patching seems unnecessary.

Can I get Max to start with just new patcher window instead of max window?

Ehhm, how do I add this to the startup directory?

Save the patch in Max5/Cycling '74/max-startup. Any patch you place in this folder will be opened when Max loads.
