I notice that Max always crashes when there are too many lines in the Max window. Once in a while I get a warning about truncation, but by then it is too late. I'm very careful about where I put print objects, and I am in the habit of clearing the window by hand every few minutes before too much builds up.

It would be great if there were a clearmaxwin object and a maxwinlength object so that I could keep the output from building up too much.

I'm running 5.1.7 on MacOS 10.6.7, but this happened the same way in previous versions. My Mac Pro has 12GB of RAM.
