I noticed the forum going down last Saturday, contacted Ableton about it after which they told me they were working on it.

Last I heard was that they were busy restoring the filesystem and database. I guess it turns out to be a bit more difficult than anticipated.

As far as Ableton goes I think they have been focusing on making Live 8 as stable as possible while even introducing some new features for Max for Live.
