How efficient and save is maxhole? Which limitations are there?

Today we tried to send a list with 4000 Elements in our local-network (1 Server, 2 Clients) - about 100/listbang were received. 

Until now, we've just have sent bangs, ints/floats and lists (maximum 50 elements) - everything was entirely and in sync received.

What about osc - is it much more better in regard of sending huge lists (or packagesize in general)?

If you can use tcp/ip, try jit.net.send and jit.net.recv, take your lists and use jit.fill into a matrix, send the matrix into the left inlet, then use jit.spill at the other end. Might work better and there's probably a much higher limit on the list size (though I'm not sure about any limit on non-matrix lists). You do get dropped frames/matrices when sending using jit.net.send, but that's probably the case with maxhole too, and depending on your purposes it may not be an issue.
