This has been extensively discussed. This feature / Pluggo is not
implemented for Max 5 yet.

So here’s my situation. A few years ago while at school I wrote a couple patches and wrapped them as VSTs. Now I own a Intel Mac and am having trouble getting those older VSTs to work on this machine. I’ve installed the UB Pluggo Runtime on this machine, but now can’t get those older plugins to work. Any ideas? Workarounds?

Nope. Pluggo 3.6.* is Universal Binary, as well as MAx 4.6.* which
allows you to make plug-ins.

I downloaded the demo of 4.6 UB and successfully built VSTs. But when Logic is launched, the Audio Units manager crashes and says that the VSTs are not compatible.

Anyone run into this before?

Logic can’t run VSTs. AU only.

string: although that’s true, pluggo allows your to wrap vsts to make them playable as AUs. anyonem corrected me if im wrong about that.

You have to run that Audio Unit scan application I think. After that
Logic should be able to list all pluggos…
