Hi,

i’m sure there are a number of better ways to do it but i created one for a real time glitchy effect by feeding the input into a number of delays. The delays are triggered one after another using a random probability which then feeds a metro into counter. Each delay has a length that is a multiple of the metro time so that the input is being repeated at rapid rates.

If not real time then maybe reading a buffer (groove~ or wave~) at random positions and switching between this and a normal playback bus?

Not sure if thats any help,

Dom.

This is shameless self-promotion, and it’s also not free and built as a Pluggo-based plugin, but looking at the end result can give you ideas of what’s possible – Major Malfunction:

http://defectiverecords.com/majormalfunction

Please note that it won’t work within a Max 5 hosting environment (in other words, you can’t load it into a vst~ object).

Best,
Dan
