For some odd reason, when I came home today, my Max/MSP/Jitter wouldnt start. Im on a windows vista machine. I tried reinstalling Max without success, so i went and tried a system restore, which didnt help at all either.

I checked the Task Manager, and when i start the program Max.exe does turn up for 5-7 seconds, and then it just disappears and nothing further happens. The weird thing is, that 1 hour ago it was working just fine. Then I left the campus, went home, opened my laptop and presto! Max not loading.

Any of you guys ever had any issues like this. I really cant figure out what it might be, since reinstalling didnt work. Hope someone can help me, and please let me know if you need any further info.

I'm getting this behaviour as well with Windows 7. I just downloaded 5.1.1, and now it gives me a dialog box that says:

C:UserssnessAppDataLocalTempWER249F.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml

C:UserssnessAppDataLocalTempWER53EA.tmp.appcompat.txt

C:UserssnessAppDataLocalTempWER55DE.tmp.mdmp
