I was just curious as to whether or not anyone has ever tried to use the Melodyne plugin in Max via the vst~ object.

Obviously, there are a lot of reasons to expect this not to work. Namely the fact that it's not supported by Celemony, as well as the strange way in which the plugin in version works (by transferring audio in from the host).

Nevertheless, I got Melodyne to load into the object, saw host audio input in the plugin window, and got it to begin transferring when turning on the transport in Max. However, everything totally beach-balled and stopped responding when I stopped the transfer.

Anyway, might not be useful, but I thought it'd be fun to play around with since it's the only commercial plugin I own. :)

Also, it could be cool to use live by recording a loop in and having a GUI to manipulate pitches while it's being played back.

I figured there might be some way to trick Melodyne into working.
