Did a quick search of the forum and did not see this reported. Windows XP only - using Max 5.01.

menubar was causing a fatal crash when turned on with this simple content:

Just tried the same thing Using 10.5.2 OSX and Max 5.01.

You get a different strange error. Each time you turn on and off the menu bar it adds an extra set of items to the menu. Also it adds it to both the file menu and the edit menu.

Have not followed up what it does once you change to a standalone.
