I am not having any luck with enableitem messages, I want to disable Save and Open from the File menu, for example. The enableitem message used to work fine in version 4, but the same patches in version 5 yield no result. In addition, I want to suppress the appearance of the Max window in the Window menu using maxinwmenu 0, but that doesn’t work either. Does anyone know why this might be?
