midi clock object

i have yet to purchase max for live, but i would like to know if this device can be created first… it would seal the deal in my purchase decision.

i need a device that can accept midi click from a certain port and filter out the system stop message. then i need it to "learn" the tempo from the incoming port. next i need it to pass on that tempo to a selectable midi port out. i need the system stop message to not get passed through and not effect the output clock of the device. and when the new clock tempo for the next song it sent, i need the device to update its midi clock output.

can this be done…?

No, it’s not possible. Keep in mind that M4L devices are residing within Live and their midi input/output is routed through Live. This works well for common midi messages like notes and controllers, but special data (eg. midi clock) are not routed at all through Live.
