I'm having a curious issue where the MIDI notes coming in through the MIDI IN object are always note behind...like one is getting stored in a buffer.

I am ignoring NOTE-OFFs and only reading NOTE-ONs.

There must be something very simple I'm not doing; I'm confused because it seems that the raw MIDI IN NOTE-ONs should always correspond to the key pressed on the MIDI controller.
