I have been searching the forum and having been trying to find anything that explains how I can export midi from Max to logic pro (8). I keep coming across this rewire thing – is it an external i need to download? I have tried the pgmout object (as I want to use different voices from a makenote – not just piano) but am finding it difficult to get going. I would like to access the ‘voices’ in logic…. any one point me in the right direction? Or to a relevant thread? Thanks in advance

when piping midi you don’t need rewire, this is handy to sync ex. sequences in max with logic.

What you need to do is make sure logic knows that t should listen to max.

It might be a good idea t specify what you want to do in max and what in logic, do you want to play logic synths from within max or are you going to do more?

Normally Logic listens to ALL midi in, so if you make a noteout object and open its help-patch, just double click on the noteout object, choose frommax 1 and ‘play’ the attached keyboard, it should work/produce sound in logic
