midi time code and transport

I’m trying to get max to output midi time code (24 ppq) to my synth to synch the arpeggiator. the transport is synched to rewire and live is playing a four to the floor kick pattern. the arpegiator seems to wander everywhere this is my patch

and it seems to work much better. i figured that if max is sending out 480 ticks per quarter note then setting a metro at 20 ticks would give 24 ppq. i’ve put max in overdrive and it’s no better.

very sleepy giving up, perhaps the max faries will help …..

whoops meant midi clock synch not midi time code, metros synched to ticks on the transport seem much more stable when the transport clocksource is internal, when i use rewire it wanders a bit, perhaps this is the source ….
