Hello, I am trying to use the midiin object, but it simply isn't reading midi info from my midi controller. I have tried using notein/noteout and that works without a problem. I tried printing out my pitch/velocity list from midiparse, and nothing is coming out, so i assume max is for some reason not reading my midi controller with the midiin object (yet, why with the notein object?? they both have the same port arguments (or none at all, which should make them include every port, no?)). Does anyone possibly have an explanation for this?

No. Notein will listen to every port if given no port argument, but midiin MUST be told what port to listen to. It's in the helpfile...
