I'm about to have another go at migrating from 6.0.8 to 6.1 (on Mac), and I wondered if any one had any experience or advice about dealing with a large collection of 3rd party objects. I'm going to run 6.1 in 32bit mode for the time being, so that I don't have to worry about whether or not specific objects have been upgraded to 64bit (unlikely for lots of them, I would guess).

For any 3POs that aren't yet "packages-ready" I need to parcel up my existing 3POs into "packages" that match the new format? Or can I just copy across the ones I want to keep (to where?).
