The only further info is that the iPad 2 does connect successfully to my early 2008 2.4GHz MacBook (even Mira acknowledges that) but Mira keeps giving me a server error 70007.

Any clues? I need Snow Leopard because SoundDiver and my scanner don't work in Lion.

Mira works fine for me in Snow Leopard. Ive been using it with maxforlive in Live 9 and max 6 in SL and not had problems.

Looks like a reinstall of Snow Leopard is needed. And it's good to know the Max/Mira/iPad combo isn't flaky on an uncorrupted install of the OS.
